Bailey Grant Obituary
Bailey Brown Grant, age 89 of Springfield, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Grant was born June 11, 1928 in Robertson County to the late Hirem and Clarinda Dodson Grant. He was a retired supervisor in manufacturing. He enjoyed playing music including the fiddle, guitar, and banjo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Mitchell Grant; a grandson, David Crabtree; five brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Roy Edward Grant of Houston, TX and Joseph Neal Grant of Springfield; daughter, Beverly Carol Crabtree of Hermitage; sister, Edna Gray of Springfield; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
